Walled Lake Central’s Han Chau qualifies for state championship, Hillary Glaser named regional coach of the year

Walled Lake Central junior Han Chau qualified for the MHSAA Division 2 State Championships on Wednesday, October 22, at the Midland Tennis Center.

Chau punched his ticket to the state finals with a second place finish at the regional championships in first singles. The Vikings’ star also earned himself the sixth overall seed at states and a first round bye. He’ll open against Grosse Pointe North’s Ajay Sarnaik with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.

Walled Lake Central head coach Hillary Glaser was also recognized by the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association named Division 2, Region 9 Coach of the Year.
