Sara Greer receives Golden Apple Award
Walled Lake Elementary medical support paraeducator, Sara Greer, received a Golden Apple Award at the December 5, 2024 Board of Education meeting.
Greer was nominated by Walled Lake Elementary first grade teacher, Alyssa LeButt, because she embodies the essence of dedication and support in every aspect of her work.
“Sara’s interactions with students go beyond just assistance; she fosters genuine connections, and offers unwavering support and encouragement to each child she encounters,” said LeButt. “Her willingness to assist everyone, from students to teachers grappling with classroom challenges, exemplifies her dedication to the school community.”
Greer doesn’t wait to be asked before stepping into to help. She take initiative with each classroom she walks into.
“Whether it's helping students do their best learning, creating innovative ways for the classroom to run smoothly, or helping to foster a positive learning environment, Sara takes it upon herself to engage in continuous learning endeavors aimed at enhancing her ability to support and connect with students effectively,” said LeButt. “She’s proactive approach demonstrates her innate self-motivation, as she consistently seeks out opportunities to improve and excel in her role.”
